Eggs 'n' Issues May 2008 - American Council for a Strong Economy
Where Business Leaders Meet
Topic: Keeping Pennsylvania Producing A campaign to keep business from leaving Pennsylvania and the United States
Speaker: David Bell, Coalition Member, The American Council for a Strong Economy

Employers are leaving Pennsylvania to move to more business-friendly states and countries. When companies leave, so do jobs, technology, and wealth. The challenges facing business in the areas of structural costs, education and global trade, are making it increasingly difficult to remain profitable. For instance, Pennsylvania’s corporate state income tax is the second highest in the country.
A new non-profit, grassroots organization has formed to educate people on the issues that negatively impact the economy, and to initiate reforms in these areas. The American Council for a Strong Economy (ACSE) provides individuals and businesses with easy ways to help initiate meaningful reform. Join us to learn about the specific issues driving our businesses away and how you can help to initiate positive changes.
